Kathmandu- Gandaki State has confirmed 58 new cases of Corona Virus today. According to latest update by the State Health Directorate released this morning, of them 25 are from Tanahu, 16 from Nawalpur, eight from Baglung, five from Gorkha, two from Kaski and one each from Myagdi and Syangja.
The new cases were confirmed following tests in Kathmandu, Chitwan and Pokhara, according to director of the Directorate Dr Binod Bindu Sharma. All of them were staying in different quarantines from returning from neighbouring India.
They are now being taken to isolation centres in the districts. With this, the total number of infected has reached 438 in the State. Of them, 39 have returned home after complete recovery while one person has succumbed to the disease. Except Mustang all 10 districts in the State have reported infection.
So far, 8,751 swab collections have been made for PCR tests for Corona Virus has been done, with 6,919 showing negative. The result of 1,452 is still awaited, said coordinator of the State Health Emergency Operation Centre Nawaraj Sharma.
