KATHMANDU – The death toll from the monsoon-induced floods and landslides across the country has climbed to 30 as of Saturday afternoon. Some 12 persons have been injured while 18 others are missing.
According to the latest records maintained by Nepal Police, five persons were killed in Lalitpur and three persons lost their lives in Khotang, Kathmandu and Kavre districts each.
Similarly, two each died in Sindhuli, Makwanpur, Dhading and Bhojpur districts and one each has died in Okhaldhunga, Bara, Parsa, Ramechhap Jhapa, Sunsari, Ilam, and Chitwan.
Four persons have been injured in Makwanpur and two in Kavre. Likewise, one person each in Khotang, Ramechhap, Dhading, Dolakha, Sunsari and Chitwan has been injured, police said.
Four people went missing in Sindhuli and three people in Bhojpur. Likewise, one each is reported missing in Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Udayapur, Mahottari, Panchthar, Lalitpur, Kathmandu, Rautahat and Dhading Parsa,Morang, districts.
