Kathmandu– Dr Dharma Kanta Banskota has been appointed to the post of Vice-chancellor of Tribhuvan University.
Prime Minister and Chancellor of the Tribhuvan University, KP Sharma Oli, on Sunday appointed Dr Banskota to the post on the recommendation of ‘Search Committee’.
Although the Secretariat of the Prime Minister shared this information, it is yet to be formally announced.
ENT specialist Dr Banskota of Jhapa district is former chief of ENT department of TU Teaching Hospital and former Chairperson of Nepal Medical Council. Rector Dr Sudha Tripathi was appointed as officiating vice-chancellor after the term of vice-chancellor of TU, Dr Tirtha Raj Khaniya terminated on August 22.
The Search Committee had also recommended the name of Dr Bhagawan Koirala and Dr Chandramani Poudel.
